Award Consideration…

Hi, everyone!

As I posted some time ago, I’ve had a novel and four stories published in 2019. And as I’ve been running late (i.e. I’ve been remiss) on getting my work seen for awards, maybe this will help…

Regarding the four stories listed below, if anyone would like a copy of the stories to consider for awards, please message me on Facebook or go to the CONTACTS page on my website jackdann.com; and I’ll send you a copy. If you are a SFWA member and would like to see a copy of my novel Shadows in the Stone for Nebula consideration, please let me know.

Here is the work:

Shadows in the Stone: a Book of Transformations, IFWG Publishing (November, 2019). I consider this my fantasy sequel to The Memory Cathedral. It’s also a purposely distorted version of Paradise Lost!

“Mr. Death Goes to the Beach”, Asimov’s (March, 2019). This story appeared in the Gardner Dozois Memorial edition of Asimov’s. I wrote the story for Gardner, who was one of my dearest friends

“The Carbon Dreamer”, Shivers VIII (ed. Richard Chizmar) (February, 2019). This story was originally bought by Harlan Ellison for The Last Dangerous Visions.

“The Last Maskil”, Holy C.O.W.! SF Stories from the Center Of the World (ed. D. Avraham and Allen Dyen-Shapiro) (July, 2019). This novelette takes place in my Shadows in the Stone universe.

“In Re the Strange Fate of Samuel Langhorne Clemens”, The War of the Worlds: Battleground Australia (ed. Steve Proposch, Bryce Stevens, and Christopher Sequeira) (2019). I couldn’t help myself: the characters include Mark Twain and H.G. Wells…and, of course, a myriad of dastardly Martians!

Thanks, and cheers!
